Our company was founded in 2012 by experienced asset managers, mortgage originators and lenders specializing in capital formation. Together, we chose the name Gentai.

“Gen” is short for genesis meaning creation. Tai is a mountain of historical and cultural significance in Chinese folklore and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The two words together mean sunrise, birth and renewal, but also integrity, stability, strength and vision – the characteristics we bring to our role in managing purpose-built real estate mortgage portfolios.
